Pharmaceutical Litigation Cases
Pharmaceutical drugs may be intended to help people; however, at times, these drugs fall short of their promises. Too often unassuming patients find themselves experiencing undisclosed side effects, injuries, or even death. Our firm litigates against pharmaceutical companies on behalf of patients who have suffered injury or death as a result of a particular drug and/or the action or inaction of the pharmaceutical company and its associates medical clinics.
Claims against pharmaceutical companies and/or their associated medical clinics often include:
- Failure to warn
- Medical errors
- Defective medications
- Products liability
- Inadequate testing
At present, our firm represents hundreds of patients exposed to dangerous levels of acetate during the dialysis process. The firm's clients allege that dialysates sold under the brand names GranuFlo and Naturalyte contain excess acetate which can cause a patient's bicarbonate levels to spike triggering pulmonary arrest, myocardial infarctions, or ischemic strokes. Our clients have sued both the manufacturer, Fresenius, as well as DaVita, a company that operates over 2,000 dialysis clinics in the United States. The actions allege that both Fresenius and DaVita knew that their dialysates were dangerous, yet continued to utilize them with inadequate testing and warnings.
