The Paynter Law Firm-In the Community
Originally built in 1912, the Orpheum Theater was perhaps best known for its unique funnel shape, designed specifically to amplify sounds like an amphitheater. From the 1940’s to the 1960’s, the theater was used for a variety of live stage shows that highlighted western performers, but with changes in film and technology, the theater was no longer lucrative-it was sold and eventually abandoned.
In the years since, Stuart Paynter of the Paynter Law firm saw the potential of the building and has since bought and renovated the space. Not only has his work ensured that a piece of the state’s history will be preserved for future generations, but he also has given the neighborhood a new place to gather and celebrate. We are proud of this firm’s contributions to our local community and the effort we have put into preserving our shared past for all to enjoy!
